World Science Forum 2022
The Science Spaza team was at the Department of Science and Innovation's World Science Forum 2022 - the first to be held on the African continent!
The team enjoyed the opportunity to engage with learners and partners around science outreach.

Hey guys! Science Spaza celebrated National Science Week 2018 with learners from Edendale Technical High School in Pietermaritzburg.
Two brilliant MSc students from the University of KwaZulu-Natal talked about their love for mathematics, statistics and environmental science. This was followed by an inspiring talk by Dr. Vincent Couling, a physics lecturer at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. The learners interacted with the speakers on various science topics and were keen to start their own science club.
Many students expressed that they intend to use the knowledge gained in their classrooms as well as in their everyday lives!
Science Spaza, a STEAMi (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Maths and innovation) initiative, aims to improve science literacy and reveal to young people the power of science and technology in transforming their world! We do this by bringing exciting, interactive and fun curriculum-linked learning opportunities to a growing network of science clubs across South Africa.
Thanks to our NSW sponsors, SAASTA and the Department of Science and Technology
